October 2010.

Activity in the market this week seems to have increased. Perhaps people see this as the last opportunity to buy or sell before the autumn market ends, or the buying public are getting used to all the doom and gloom in the press. Either way it's pleasing to see and hopefully this will continue.

September 2010.

The property market continues to be challenging with the public sector cut continuing and the spending review pending. As a consequence, the public seem nervous about spending money on property or committing they can be sure that we are through the worst of things. Could the coalition government be cleverly managing people's expectations? Possibly so and by announcing the major cuts now (and by taking the cuts up) we may be through the worst without knowing it! However the short term outlook does not look great and it could be a good time to pick up a bit of a bargain!

We are sponsoring a Children in Need event at the Cathedral Hotel in Salisbury on 3rd September 2010. The evening is a glamorous affair of champagne and casino. Tickets cost £5 and are available through the Cathedral Hotel 01722 343700.
